In urbanistic domain, the site required a third object which would enclose and activate the space below the highway next to the office-cultural area currently still in development. The brief suggested the wind tunnel, a giant mechanical object that occupies one quarter of the entire program. This fact is used here as an advantage rather than a problem. It is organizing the space while standing in the middle as a pivot point or an element that divides secured and private sectors from public ones, as well as deforming the building from clear, closed and orthogonal into more complex, open and intricate spaces.Additional to this, the wind tunnel, because of its position and use, is providing ecological heating and cooling system for the whole building. Finally, curved versus flat geometry is reacting on a panelization logic and structural principles. In short, where surfaces are more planar, panels are larger and they are getting smaller when surface becomes more deformed or bend in two directions. The smooth transition in this action is achieved by applying the pattern inspired by the panelization on Japanese gundam robots.
